Type Of Oil

Car And Vehicles Review- Type Of Oil,Bellow are type of oil that we have to know so we not making false what kind of oil we must used to our machine. Some of Type are

Mineral Oil
Mineral oil is made from base oil (base oil) were taken from petroleum that has been processed and refined and coupled with substance - additives to enhance the capabilities and functions. Some experts advise that if the engine has been commonly used mineral oil for years so do not immediately replace it with a synthetic oil because synthetic oil generally erode deposits (residual) left by mineral oil so that the deposit had been lifted from its place and flows into the crevices of the machine so that interfere with use of the machine.

Synthetic oil
Synthetic oil is usually made up Polyalphaolifins coming from the cleanest part of the sorting of mineral oil, which is a gas. This compound is then mixed with mineral oil. This is why synthetic oil can be mixed with mineral oil and vice versa. The most stable bases are polyol-ester (not polyester shirt material), which is at least react when mixed with other ingredients. Synthetic oil tends not to contain reactive carbon material, a compound which is not good for oil because it tends to combine with oxygen to produce acid (sour). Basically, synthetic oil is designed to produce more effective performance compared with mineral oil.

Viscosity (Viscosity)

Viscosity is one of the most vulnerable elements of the oil content as it relates to the thickness of the oil or how much resistance to flow. Oil viscosity is directly related to the extent to which the oil serves as a lubricant and protector of clashes between the metal surface.

Oil should flow when the engine temperature or ambient temperature. Flow sufficient to guarantee supply to the moving components. The more viscous the oil, then layer becomes more viscous posed. Smooth on a thick layer of oil gives extra capabilities sweep or clean the metal surfaces lubricated. Instead the oil is too thick to drain excess oil to give resistance at low temperatures so that interrupt the lubrication to the components needed. To that end, the oil must have proper viscosity at high temperature or low temperature when the engine is operated.

Thus, the oil has a grade (degree) separately regulated by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). When the oil is bottled listed number SAE 5W-30 means 5W (Winter) shows the oil cooler working temperatures on the viscosity and the temperature of the hottest 5 will work on the viscosity of 30.

But it is best to follow the viscosity of engine demand. Generally, the car now has a lower viscosity than 5W-30. Because the latter is more sophisticated machines so that the density between components thinner and also a lot of small cracks that can only be traversed by the dilute oil. Not good using viscous oil (20W-50) on a machine like this because it would disrupt the oil flow in the engine and it took a higher spray.

For older machines, the larger bearing clearance and thus allows the use of thick oil to maintain normal oil pressure and provide enough film for the bearing.

For instance below is the type of viscosity and ambient temperature in degrees Celsius which is used as a standard oil in various countries / regions.

5W-30 for winter weather like in Sweden
10W-30 for the climate was like in the UK
15W-30 for hot weather in the region such as Indonesia
Quality
The quality of oil is symbolized by the API (American Petroleum Institute). Last Symbol SL was introduced July 1, 2001 Even so, more and more new symbols can still be used for the previous category. As for a good API SJ, SH, SG, SF, and so on. Conversely, if the vehicle's engine requires SJ can not use the SH-type because the engine will not get the maximum protection for SH oil designed for older machines.

There are two types of APIs, S (Service) or it could be (S) is defined Spark-plug ignition (spark plug wear) for MPV car or gasoline-powered pickup. C (Commercial) applied to heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines. For example, the category C is CF, CF-2, CG-4. When using a diesel engine be sure to wear the proper category for different diesel engine oil with gasoline engine oil for diesel character that many combustion produces soot contamination is higher. This type requires additional oil dispersan and detergent additives to keep the oil stays clean

In addition, if the type of oil used is synthetic it is no longer necessary given other additives because it will reduce engine performance and even damage it.
